Statement:

My artistic practice revolves around the rejuvenation of forgotten memories, individuals, and locations, imbuing them with a new vitality. These captivating photographs, once treasured for the evocative memories they invoked, have now been cast aside, finding their way into eclectic flea markets and vintage emporiums. The anonymous figures captured within them and the narratives intertwined have slipped into obscurity. As I stumble upon these photos and encounter the enigmatic subjects within, a remarkable encounter takes place. Amidst a jumble of assorted curiosities, a woman's portrait locks eyes with me, as if beckoning to be rediscovered. Although her story remains a mystery, it is resurrected through my new additions. Through my alterations, I pose an essential inquiry: "Who assumes custodianship of our personal narratives and memories, and how might they transform as we transcend this mortal realm?"
